Eligibility Evaluation Project Details

Eligibility evaluation projects are requests for SHPO’s evaluation of a historic resource’s eligibility for the New York State Register and National Register of Historic Places. This process does not result in an impact or effect finding letter, as with consultation projects. It also does not result in the nomination of the resource for listing on the State or National Register, though an eligibility evaluation can be a preliminary step before proceeding with a National Register nomination.

For information on how to submit an eligibility evaluation project to SHPO, see the Submit a New Request for Evaluation of Eligibility help page.

You can open the details module for an eligibility evaluation project in the following ways:

The Eligibility Evaluation Project Details module uses the same basic design as for other project types. When you open the module, it will display with the Overview tab open by default, as shown below.

The Eligibility Evaluation Project Details module contains tabs with information about the project’s attributes and an expandable map interface that shows the project’s location.
