Selecting Inventory Forms Using the Grid

The Inventory Form tab within the Home/Overview page, Survey Details page as well as the Proposed District details page, provides a grid of Inventory forms. As described in previous sections, the grid provides a selection check box control that allows the user to select one or more inventory forms in the grid.

When rows are selected within the grid, the corresponding point feature for each building inventory form is also selected/highlighted on the map, and the geographic extent of the map is automatically set to the area surrounding all currently selected points.

Selecting Inventory Forms Using the Lasso Tool

In addition to being able to select inventory forms using the grid, the user can also trace a boundary on the map display using the Lasso tool that is available on the Inventory Form tab. To select inventory forms using the map, if necessary, zoom the map to the area of interest, such that you will be able to trace the boundary accurately. Next, from the Inventory Form tab, click the Lasso tool button , which will enable a tracing tool on the map.

From within the map display, click each point along the selection polygon, and when done, double-click the last point to complete your polygon. Once the polygon is complete, the system will select all inventory forms whose location falls within the defined polygon, highlighting the points on the map, as well as the rows in the grid.
